A question for you guys abroad, best soccer player in the world today?

I really don't know who it would be...I don't follow the game internationally that close anymore.

Ronaldo was near the top a couple years ago.

Who are some of the top players and who is regarded as the worlds best?

by far the most widely regarded as the best player in the world is ronaldino. And he is nothing short of spectacular.

Ronaldinho is certainly a notch above everyone.

Just a step behind, I would rate Thierry Henry (Arsenal) and Eto'o (Barcelona) among the best.

Henry and Ronaldinho are a class above everyone.

Lampard, eto'o, Kaka, John Terry (although defenders are rarely lumped in with the MFs and Fs as the world's best), Pavel Nedved (but he is older now and not what he once was), Shevchenko

Rooney will be there soon if he isn't already.

Some people will tell you Gerrard and Ballack are in the class of the above players but I think they are over rated.

anyway, the top one is another player come from Barcelona, De Assis Moreira Ronaldinho, currently. I think all the best players are good at skill would like to play with him.

have any of you guys seen that new nike soccer commercial with eric cantona...

it shows clips of ronahldino as a kid playing soccer in brazil...

even as a 10 year old (just guessing the age) he was amazing! you have to see the commercial, unbelievable talent!

i can't wait for the world cup in june!

You might have to download a higher version of flash that what you have, but it is worth it. There are about 10 commercials and all worth checking out. The Rooney one is pretty funny, my favorites are Zlatan v. C Ronaldo and the game in the tiny field, not sure I buy the ROnaldinho ping pong commercial. They are showing the young Ronaldinho one on TV in the US now. Saw it on espn the other day. There is also a feature on fox soccer channel that they run occassionally called Ginga. It is about the passion of soccer in Brazil. It is ok, but the best part is on Robinho and they show similar footage of him when he was 8.
